Falling ellipse in infinite domain
Simulation of a falling ellipse in a fluid. The motion is obtained through a balance of gravitational and fluid forces. The domain tracks the linear motion of the ellipse and our immersed-boundary method resolves the rotational motion. The infinite domain is obtained through Biot-Savart boundary conditions. Simulation performed using WaterLily.jl.
